Have you ever received unexpected money in the mail? I’ve
received checks out of the blue from old employers who were audited and found
to have payroll errors, lawsuits I didn’t even know I was a part of, refunds on
overpayments to credit cards and much more, but it’s been years since that
happened. I must have had bad money karma for a while!
Recently I’ve been focusing on getting checks in the mail. I
just love going out to my mailbox and finding a check from an unexpected source
and since it hasn’t happened for so long, I missed it! Nothing happened for a
while but I hadn’t given up – I still “expected” to find checks arriving in my
mail. About a month ago, on a Tuesday, it dawned on me that probably most
businesses process payments at the end of the week and mail checks out to recipients
on Fridays. With mail processing time, that would land checks, must likely, in
my mailbox on a Tuesday – That very day!! Excitedly I collected the mail that
day and I kid you not, there was an unexpected CHECK IN MY MAILBOX!!!!!! TRUE
STORY. We had recently paid off our truck in full, and while I had contacted
the loan company for the payoff amount, apparently my payment was $8.99 over the balance due. My check was small, but it was an actual CHECK IN THE MAIL! I
was giddy with excitement. You would have thought I received a check for a
million dollars the way I acted!
So while I expected checks every day, I was exceptionally expectant
each Tuesday when I collected the mail! But no checks for 2 weeks. But then
yesterday, yet another Tuesday, ANOTHER UNEXPECTED CHECK showed up in my mail!
I made my first payment to the electric company for a new property and
apparently they didn’t know where to apply the funds, so they mailed a refund
back to me. While this isn’t exactly money for me (I have to deal with the
electric company to get these funds applied properly as I still owe this bill),
it was a CHECK IN THE MAIL!
So, if you want unexpected money to show up in your mail,
start with Tuesdays! Believe you’ll receive an unexpected check in the mail next
Tuesday, August 18th! I can’t wait to see what money will arrive via the mailperson next
week! And if we all believe in money arriving in our mailboxes next Tuesday –
there will be a lot of checks circulating around the globe this weekend. Spread the word, lets all visualize receiving unexpected money in our mailboxes next Tuesday, August 18th. How exciting would that be if everyone received a check on this day!! Have Faith!!! Believe. It is possible!!
